It’s being called the “new normal”. The changes we will all need to make to the way we live and work in a post Covid 19 world. Spot On Mortgages were looking at more efficient ways of supporting our customers before the onset of Coronavirus and while the shift has happened quicker than might otherwise have been the case, we were considering how we could further streamline the process of applying for a mortgage.
You may have noticed that our website was updated in March. We want to provide a quick simple way of finding the best mortgage option for you. We understand that not everyone has time for, or needs, a discussion about what the alternatives are. They would prefer to get the information down and see what is available to them. Our three-step process was the answer. You fill in a questionnaire and receive our recommendation based on that. This is not a mortgage comparison but Spot On Mortgage’s considered proposal for the most appropriate route for your personal situation. Once you are satisfied with this one of our qualified mortgage advisors can submit an application to your chosen provider. We will already have most of the information from your questionnaire, so there will be little duplication of effort on your part.
The other change that has come to many of our lives is remote working. With Social Distancing set to continue for the foreseeable future, visiting people in their homes will become the exception. You can now arrange a meeting with Ian via Zoom or Skype. As we have all become used to socialising and conducting business by video call in the last few months, we have found that personal discussions can be done this way. In addition, the saving in time and benefit to the environment of not spending a lot of time in the car have become clear. For those who are unable to access the required technology or simply prefer to have these conversations face to face a personal meeting will still be possible, but for the time being at least will need to be carried out within Government guidelines.
